About René Holm
René Holm – born in Esbjerg, is a recognised Danish artist with a strong connection to Denmark and Berlin. He graduated from Aarhus Art Academy, where he studied from 2001 to 2006. Holm is known for his work in painting, sculpture, and graphics and has exhibited worldwide. His artistic focus is on depictions of people and environments that differ from societal norms. He has created thematic series that delve into the fates of those living in small communities that are different from the mainstream. His art seems to express a deep social indignation that is channelled through his detailed brushstrokes. In 2017, Holm realised his dream of establishing a permanent base in Berlin, where he now lives and works most of the time.
His works have been showcased in prominent museums such as Trapholt Kunstmuseum, Viborg Kunstmuseum, and Esbjerg Kunstmuseum. He has also participated in exhibitions at Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg, as well as in museums across Norway, Italy, Poland, and China.

René Holm is the owner of several painful tattoos himself. René's last tattoo is a "Mother" tattoo he got on the same day his mother passed away.
