Katharina Arndt

Katharina Arndt, born in 1981 in Oschatz, Germany, is an artist who has made waves in the European art scene with her bold, colourful paintings that pack a punch. This Berlin and Barcelona-based dynamo earned her stripes at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig, later becoming a master student under the Swiss art guru John M. Armleder. Arndt's work is like a neon-bright mirror held up to our smartphone-obsessed, consumerist world – fast, in-your-face, and unapologetically childlike. Her canvases are a riot of glossy acrylics and markers on unconventional surfaces like PVC film and Plexiglas, capturing the frenetic energy of modern life.
