"I deliberately chose a motif that reminds me daily to live in the here and now and to appreciate the little things. For me, a bruise symbolizes something we often carry with us unnoticed: a visible sign of experiences that shape us, without us always being able to control them. At the same time, the motif expresses the idea that we as humanity are only a small part of a much larger whole and shouldn't overestimate ourselves."
