Save travels back to the future, EVA!

We are shocked and infinitely saddened to learn that EVA, part of the Berlin based but world renowned performance duo EVA & ADELE has gone back to where she once came from: The future. Together, the two have been futuring for over 30 years, meaning: an artistic practice that teaches people not only from the art world that gender roles are fluid, that the nature of humanity is artificiality and that the future does not have to be like the past. Most recently, her tireless educational work has resulted in great respect and recognition not only from the art world, but also from the art market. A photographic work by them now hangs in the permanent collection of Hamburger Bahnhof. Until recently, they could be seen together at every major art fair and vernissage, most recently at the opening of Elmgreen & Dragset Studio at Galerie Max Hetzler , where we met them. 

The last work they created together is probably the work for Works on skin, fittingly an object trouve: an old watermark in a writing paper that they interpreted as a feminist and futuristic jester’s cap. Eva signed the 110 certificates while still in hospital. 
By having it realised on your skin, you can become part of the Futuring idea and pass it on for three generations to come. The last piece on show was the „LIEBE“ wall in group show „“TRYNSFORM“ at Schaufenster Berlin. We send you all the love in the world, ADELE. Keep on FUTURING!
